aspley heath - support our local woods

There is a place in Milton Keynes that attracts cyclists from all over the country and apart from being incredibly beautiful it also has some great oportunities for mountain bikers to learn their skills.

The Bow Brickhill hill is a challenging 12% climb that seems to go on forever, but is only about 300 meters. Once at the top, and the ability to breathe returns, prepare for some superb countryside and challenging climbs and descents.
Based on the Greensands Ridge the terrain has some fantastic cross country riding, a bike park with plenty of jumps and short downhill runs up to 30 seconds in length. For the trail rider there are miles and miles of trails - enough to keep you amused for a day and all within 60 minutes drive of London, Leicester and Birmingham.

reservoirchicks use Aspley Woods frequently for riding. However, the woods we currently enjoy is constantly under threat of closure by the land owners. For the sum of £11.00 per year you can help the forest rangers try to maintain the area for future enjoyment. The more committed we all are to the good work they do with the limited funds available, the better the case is to keep it open as an area for everybody to enjoy; whether that be mountain biking, horse riding, walking the dog or a walk with the family.
